sprung from the soil where heroes of Illyrius lived and the gods and goddesses formed of Gaia’s lust toyed with man

caught in shadow, rising from the sea, remaining partly in Neptune’s world

the blinding last burst of sun transforms your humanity to molten bronze

Imagethe inverse of breath expelled beneath the ocean’s surface, runs along the tangle of dark hair to rejoin eyes the colour of the sky, your face and taut body lit glistening, crystalline

cascading rivulets to single droplets

sands of time cease all movement

chill air dries flesh laying against still warm stone

while a moon casts cold blue light

at my distant window, thrust open to pull nature within, the crash of tide, shore birds, extinguish the sound of erratic breaths

anguish, ecstasy merge
